The Green Mountain Speedskating Club was started in 20__, in the Hills of Vermont. Spartan Arena has housed the club for the past 7 years; The club continues to grow through local support and with the help of Castleton State College. Although the club resides in Rutland VT it has members spread throughout the state. David Manfredi, a local speedskating enthusiast, has dedicated a major part of his life to the sport and continues to donate his time and efforts as a coach and club leader.
Green Mountain Speed members participate in meets throughout New England. Many of the youth members have showed major growth with the help of Manfredi and through their own dedication. The club is always looking to increase its numbers and is very welcoming of new members. There are members of all age levels and abilities. Coach Manfredi develops daily practice plans, which accommodate the needs of all members and incorporates skills which all ability levels need, to continue their progress.
Any interested skaters should visit our contact page and make sure to include your skill level, age, and a way to reach you. Non members are always welcome to join us. Whether you are just passing through or want to stay with the pack, we hope to see you on the ice soon.
